The other day I went and did the advance voting by special ballot at Elections Canada. I don’t have to wear a mask anymore so I don’t. When I went in the geriatrics were the only ones there and of course they were all masked up. During the process I was reminded 3 times that there were masks and hand sanitizer conveniently placed everywhere and I could use them if I wanted to. I politely declined and nobody seemed too upset by it.
That is maybe the proper way to handle it? Because I don’t want to live like this. I am not risk taker by any means. I live day to day minimizing my exposure to unnecessary risk. But there are some times where I do engage in risky behaviours. I ride motorcycles. I still drink and smoke occasionally. As a younger man I rode horses, ATVs and had a go at ultralight aviation. I did it because it made me feel alive.
Looking at the covitards… I see the opposite. They want less contact with the world. They want others to have less contact with it. They want to scream at people that want to live and embrace it, and snitch on them if they have too much fun. Their idea of fun is denying it to others. There’s so many people like that now. They want to cut themselves off which is fine… but they want to impose it on you too.
They aren’t alive… and maybe they resent those that are?
I had to go to the clinic last year to pay a bill.
ReplyDeleteOf course had to go through the idiot process.
Three ladies sitting in at the check in area (great waste of resources) and one of them pointed to the bottle of hand sanitizer and I said "no thanks". All three just about passed out !!!
Then they said I would have to wear rubber gloves, so I did my best imitation of OJ Simpson on trial TRYING NOT TO PUT HIS HAND IN THE GLOVE and after a minute of that, they just waved me in.
frig the gook-flu tards..
ReplyDeleteI wanna know about the ultralight ventures???
tell us about that.... why'd you quit?
My experiment ended badly in a canola field. I lost my engine on climb out and could crash in the canola or the town cesspool. I chose the canola. I did a couple arse-over-tea kettles and climbed out from under the wreckage without a scratch…just a broken heart. Today I am an expert RC pilot and that’s it. I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world though…
DeleteI suppose an event like that can open your eyes to your own mortality. I've never flown anything lighter than a J-3 Cub. Never flown anything with a two stroke nor a Rotax four banger for that matter. All of my time is behind Lycomings and Continentals. Did ride once in a two seat powered parachute and did not much care for it. Just like sitting in a lawn chair dangling your legs off the edge at 1500 feet. At that height 30mph gives you no sense of forward motion. Not good for my vertigo. I need the false sense of security that comes from that thirty thousands thick aluminum skin. Though I must admit lately I have started to question the rationale of the risk for the sake of my own self indulgence. Sure hate to leave Annie a widow just to satisfy a foolish craving.
DeleteUltralight aircraft? You? For openers, and this is just for openers, just where would you even begin to look for an 'ultralight' capable of lifting your fat ass more than three feet off the cow pasture, and that's with a 40 mile and hour headwind. What'd you do? Fill a gas bag with hydrogen, and - never mind.
ReplyDeleteI actually asked a pilot with many years experience about the ultralight aircraft, because, well, you aren't alone with that idea. She told me that well over 90% of single plane aircraft accidents involved ultralights, and in fact many of them were using an engine that carried a warning label specifically stating 'NOT FOR USE IN ULTRALIGHT AIRCRAFT' because the motor tended to stall out when needed. Like when landing, for instance.
I'm starting to lose weight. If I ever get within sight of my target, I'll write you, and if you're light enough maybe we could get together someplace and try out a pair of ultralights.
This whole Wuhan Flu crap is something else. I happened to catch a show on PBS about China and how this business got started. As it turns out, China hushed it up, then China lied, then China prevaricated, then they finally admitted that they might have known more about COVID than they were saying.
Since COVID is actually a form of viral pneumonia, it can easily be fatal, most especially if you're an old, overweight asthmatic with delusions of invulnerability. Otherwise it's viral pneumonia, which means your favorite witch doctor can treat the symptoms, and that's it.
Ultralight. I can't wait.
Spend your money if you go UL, Jack. Four stroke engine is a must. Learn how to wrench. I dunno if I need to fly again. I really like the idea of a Chinook with a Rotax 912 or maybe an HKS but who knows. Nowadays I’m on the bike for the most part.

DeleteYup; those folks live lives on par with slugs under rocks. I'll take my chances in the sun...
