Dunno man. That one appears to be a 12 gauge and would be a handful to point and shoot. I think a handgun in .44 Spcl. would be more my want than that.
Check out Bama McCall (Jerry Reed) in the Burt Reynold's classic Gator. He had a certain firing technique and seemed to be a regular marksman with a similar shotgun.
That is all about "Look at me - I'm so friggin macho!!" Has no real practical use besides armed robbery or hit jobs. Shoot one once and you'll see how foolish it is.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict it's pattern out to 20 feet, is good enough. Good thing it's equipped with recoil reducers. Lanyard ring is a nice touch. If it's tied to you, ya can't lose it. Tree Mike
I once had the opportunity to fire an old Ithaca "Auto and Burglar gun," which was a 20 gauge pistol.. It was hard to control, but you could do it if you used your left hand to hold down the barrels. it was manufactured from 1921 to 1934, when the NFA made owning one impractical. However, during it's time, it was a reasonably successful special purpose firearm.
Might be some very specific circumstances where this would be useful. However if you have the cash why not. Lots of things are of dubious usefulness but are still cool to own.

ReplyDeleteTalk about an ALLEY CLEARER!!
ReplyDeleteMy wrist hurts just from looking at that.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that you will get one in Canada. Sorry
ReplyDeleteIts a Howda gun. Everyone needs one of those.
ReplyDeleteActually a true Howdah gun is MUCH WORSE than that but if a tiger is clawing his way up the side of your elephant you won't even notice the recoil.

The ammo pictured are slugs. "Spread pattern" would have to be extrapolated over many shots, but a "hit", is a HIT.
ReplyDeleteNice truck gun. You know, for truckin'

ReplyDeleteI expect such an idiotic thing will pattern a nice imprint of the trigger guard over your fingers, and leave you feeling sore and stupid for days.

ReplyDeletein order to maintain velocity, you don't want the barrels any shorter than 12" with standard ammo
