I am continuously horrified by my blog elders. Kim du Toit is the worst - usually when he is perving out over fat old broads. It’s like listening to Grampa Simpson talking about his sex life.π€’ But Kim’s at his worst when he starts talking about music. The Beatles? Really? GAH!
I think we can all agree that my generation’s musical talent is truly superior to his.π
Nice knapsack up there. Small so you can focus on carrying only the essentials.
ReplyDeleteThe guy needs a simple knock-about rifle like an old sks over his shoulder. Cheap (was) and sturdy.
DeleteSrsly, you're going to do the "generational" thing?
ReplyDeleteThat, the my gun is bigger'n your gun, dems is better than reps, chevy's over fords, blah blah blah, the mark of someone that has run out of ideas. For your generation bare naked ladies is hardly the cream of the crop and musically, they were mostly embarrassing. Never made a red cent off'n my ass.
It would make for an interesting discussion. Who were the best of Kim’s era? Who were the best in mine? I am partial to folk music… so hadda I know?
DeleteYeah…I’d put the BNL against the Beatles any day of the week… but the Retard Tupperware & Spoon band would be better than the Beatles too!
The best… from my era? Fleetwood Mac, maybe? I’d have to think about it.
Yoko was a world class No talent pos.
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles were for the most part a cover band. They did some great stuff but they didn't write it. The stuff they did write was mostly awful in my humble opinion.
ReplyDeleteWhen they all went solo, their true non-talent was exposed with Paul McCartney being the worst. Wings-ugh slash my wrists. They were well marketed that's all.
Oh, and some people take criticism much too seriously.
my dad's idea of summer vacation when I was a kid was to drag me out to work with a concrete crew. I think I was 11 or so.
ReplyDeleteanyway, after a few years of that, I was 6'2" and 190 pounds hard.
was in better shape than my DIs where when I went in the army.
that was when I understood the difference between gym muscles and work muscles. first time doing the PT test, I did max out.
today, only farm kids get that kind of work out or muscles.
most kids today could not even last a day doing hard work, let alone a summer.
Sounds like your childhood was similar to mine. My dad was a concrete contractor and we lived in southwest Florida. I know what it's like to slave in the blazing sun. 130 degrees on the slab in the summer. Did 4 years in that man's army.
DeleteLove is not only blind and deaf , it is dumber than a box of rocks. This explains why democrats love to hate everyone.
ReplyDeleteA boomer here, farm raised. Never did 'get' the Beatle worship. Give me Merle Haggard any day.
ReplyDeleteI never could grok the worship of entertainers whether music or movies or sports. Don't get me wrong. I like to be entertained as much as anyone. There were some I liked more than others and if I did like them, I bought their stuff. But worship?? Deliver me Lord...
