Now I see what’s been subliminally bothering me about these guys. They have no claws. It looks to me like they have fully and semi-opposable thumbs too. In Asia they keep these guys as pets and apparently they are incredibly intelligent.
Makes me wonder if maybe God doesn’t have a backup plan on hold in case the whole “tool-using super-ape” notion doesn’t pan out?
I would think that it has been declawed. A cruel and painful practice.
ReplyDeleteOh maybe so... I never thought of that.
DeleteWhat is that? I don't recognize it.
ReplyDeleteHe is an otter, STxAR...
DeleteOtters around here have claws. The asian ones, however such as the one pictured, do have claws; they just are able to retract them into their toe pads. Kinda like women.
ReplyDeleteYou like skating close to that thin ice like I do...
DeleteIt’s always thin.
DeleteThat ice is always thin.
DeleteYa otter pray afore dinner taking
ReplyDeleteMaybe these animals will get it right where humans have continually failed. Which is why I have the Lord.
ReplyDeleteThe well known Christian writer C. S. Lewis did a not so well known science fiction trilogy (really). In vol I, the hero (who doesn't know he's a hero yet) is kidnapped by mad scientists & taken to Mars. He escapes & joins up w/ the Martians, who turn out to be intelligent man sized otters. The scary part comes when he realizes that the Martians were not fallen, like Man, & that Earth was under some sort of spiritual quarantine.
ReplyDeleteTitle is Out of the Silent Planet.
