At the height of the mad cow disease in the UK and the subsequent French import ban on British beef (which happened to coincide with the filming of Cornwell's Sharpe books), I saw a poster of Capt Sharpe and his Chosen Men with the caption "This isn't the first time France has had a problem with British beef."
Sharpe would look at the leaders of today and do what he did to the Duke of Orange in Waterloo, only this time let's give him a modern sniper weapon and he won't miss.
Again… I can’t say. I stocked up on powder, primers and brass ages ago … I am literally set for life, I suppose as I don’t shoot like I used to. Ammo costs are going through the roof these days…
One place where Sean Bean won't die.
