TED

Couple years back I got sucked in to the TED Talks on OyTube and they started out great. I must a gone through a dozen that were spectacular presentations from astrophysicists, AI experts, and fascinating, objective forward thinkers.

Then one day… this pasty, rat faced little fink of a man comes out and and starts deconstructing the myth of David and Goliath. You could tell just by looking at this greasy little twit that he was from the tribe of happy merchants, if ya get my drift… and he starts going into excruciating detail as he set up a narrative to support the idea that David was a blood thirsty bully, and Goliath was an innocent lamb… so I got on the drag button… did a fast forward… where, at the end, they had him taking questions. He was sitting amidst a gaggle of groupies that clearly adored him and they were all huge, fat land whales. (I am not making this up). His whole bearing was that of a rock star and I turned it off…wandering what the hell it was that I’d just seen, and why it was on Ted.

Then they started all going like that. The guest speakers started featuring queers, feminists, socialists, activists and other obscure nobodies and activists and I just gave up on it. They were the kind of people that left me wanting to send them a fan letter loaded with Thermite, HAR HAR HAR!

I’m beginning to think Ted The Bomber would have made an excellent guest on a talk show. The man certainly had the qualities of a visionary in hindsight, didn’t he?

Sad, but very true. Time has proven him to be much more perceptive than was originally thought.

  2. There's an aphorism stating that anything and everything that isn't explicitly and militantly kept conservative will eventually and always become liberal. Why would TED talks be immune to that reality....

  3. It is the cancer we must get rid of. Some companies are starting to realize letting just one SJW in to HR tanks an entire enterprise, as it is happening in realtime before their very eyes.

  4. I saw that one. It was Malcolm Gladwell and was interesting but I didn't think it was "woke." The thesis was: (1) David was not as unarmed as you would think because slings were and are very dangerous weapons; and, (2) Goliath's large size was likely due to a pituitary tumor, which is the most common reason for giants, and such people almost always have very bad eyesight, so Goliath was probably legally blind and not as much of a bad ass as you would think given his size.

    1. But…that fails on so obviously on so many levels, A. If the sling was such a superior weapon, Goliath would have had one. And…sending down a blind giant as your champion? It’s ridiculous. I’m supposed to listen to this tripe and take it seriously? What is happening in academia?
If shepherd boys were super warriors, the armies of the ancient world all would have used them. I felt stupider after listening to that retarded goblin…and as TED went along…they started bringing out lunatics and morons that made our buddy look like a genius…
      🥴

  5. Back in the day, activists were not called activists. They were called shit disturbers.

  6. Before I got to this,

"I’m beginning to think Ted The Bomber would have made an excellent guest on a talk show. The man certainly had the qualities of a visionary in hindsight, didn’t he?"

I was already thinking about the cliche I picked up in the last couple of years. "Maybe Ted Kasinsky was right after all".
