I have a nice old Winchester single shot that shoots very well. found a box of old copper 22 shorts. my brother has them on a shelf with a bunch of other weird stuff. they work too, fired a couple of them.
Internet search is telling me the old box was manufactured by Dominion, a Canadian ammunition company. I've never seen any ammunition so old and still intact. Must have been kept in protected storage, the lead oxidation tells me that.
I have an old Springfield bolt action 22 that would shoot that old stuff...
ReplyDeleteI would think that most 22 revolvers could handle it.

I'm pushing 70 and I don't recall ever seeing a box of .22 like that.

ReplyDeleteYup - I recognized them right off the bat - Dominion shells were everywhere when I was a kid, as were CIL...
ReplyDeleteI think I still have some of each.
