I seem to recall a rude joke in the bible to the effect that if you have a contentious woman in the house - you are better off living up on the roof outside the house rather than in it.
There’s guys that have researched women and dissected their psychology and written scholarly texts and screeds about how to deal with them. If I recall…Uncle Bob Uncle Bob dismissed it as “Evo-Psych Bullshit” … and I think he may well have been right.
I think the best way to handle women is make ‘em happy if ya can, and if ya can’t…ignore the drama and do what ya gotta do.
Just like Betty Friedan, these women need work to do. This is the fault of the men.

ReplyDeleteThere are two of those verses in Proverbs. Not a rude joke at all. I know the veracity of those statements. And I was handed one of your topics. I was surprised how easily the world's song was accepted by the "party of the second part". I more fully understand 1 Timothy 2:11-14 now. Some deceptions are so attractive they can't be refused... No matter how much the "party of the first part" warns about it. You can only do, what you can do.

It's worked for me all my life and I was ultimately blessed with a beautiful sensible gal that's been an integral part of my life for the past 23 years.
Such words are of similar mind, since 1996 with my tolerant bride. I ain't no angel . . .

ReplyDeleteIf a man allows a woman to walk all over him they will. And end up despising him because of it. Men have to be men. If they are women will generally take their cue from that an act like a woman. The last half century of feminist bullshit makes it harder to find a female who can act like one though.
