That magazine is like putting a screen door on a submarine or a space capsule but I suppose the Russkies have done that too without slowing down.
What interests me here is that the silencer is externally threaded…most of ours over here seem to be internally threaded…? Looks to me like one of those cases of preferring to do things the hard way but whadda I know?
If it stupid but it works it's not stupid. Russians are rarely interested in form, just function. There shit is usually ugly but it usually works, at least to a fundamental level.

ReplyDeleteThis particular Makarov appears to have an oversized barrel tube instead of the normal Makarov slide surrounding the 9x18 barrel such that the silencer screws into the barrel tube and not on the 9x18 barrel........(a la Slavic instead of Southern, Red Neck or Hillbilly engineering.)
