I knew someone years ago who's uncle was a gas fitter at one of those places. His job was to keep the furnaces going. He told his family after the war that if he didn't comply he would follow those who got tossed into the furnace. What a heavy burden to carry his whole life.
I met a lady in Calgary who was a friend of my best friend's grandmother. She was near 80 and had a short sleeve housecoat on and there was a tattoo on her left arm on the inside. Just a bunch of numbers, but I knew who put them there. She was still ashamed of the tattoo even after all those years and tried to pull the sleeve down to hide it. She was rescued out of that hell hole by the allied forces as a child.
Yeah and they made lampshades and soap outta the dirty buggers too. Personally speaking no good Nazi worth their salt would ever put such evil on their bodies. Jes sayin.
He also signed the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, which gave almost total control to the unelected bureaucrats at the California Air Resources Board to do things like create a Cap and Trade fee on every gallon of fuel sold in the state. Right now the fee is around 20 cents and the bureaucrats have the option to raise it up to as much as 77 cents a gallon.
He's the tough guy who didn't want to just "rearrange the boxes" he was going to "blow up the boxes" when he became governor. Then he immediately backed down to the nurses union.
Ya know, I never doubted the holocaust until I saw a German deriding the Nazis. My family is from Germany, they loved the Nazis over there. And still do...
Arnie makes a compelling emotional case. In a perfrect world, he'd be speaking wisdom and sense. Some easy fact checking will show that he is playing fast and loose with the truth.
I used to stand with Israel. Used to think that jews were our friends, and that we should treat them that way. I took offense when people insulted them or made slurs against them. Out of idle curiosity one day... I started fact checking "antisemitism."I was astonished at what I found. I am not a holocaust denier, or a 4th Reich neonazi... but I am now an antisemite. I was stunned by how far back engineered narratives and public opinions go. Those people, as a group, are not our friends. I am not the only one noticing.
This is not about a religion or color of skin. This problem is between the civil and uncivil. The Uncivil have the upper hand. Seems that everyone does not remember the h8 a certain people of WW2. The current h8 for a certain color of skin is the same evil as before. We are aware and chose to be the force that stops another few million people being murdered again. They seem hell bent on another world war and a race war.
I used to look up to Arnold Schwarzenegger when I was a kid. He says it himself, he's not a perfect guy, and right up until he did that 'screw your freedom' rant over the not-a-vax, I was willing to give most of what he did a pass.
I still think he's a decent guy, even by Hollyweird standards, ONLY because he doesn't consistently do or say things that are hostile or inflammatory. He's still nowhwere near the level of shitlib celebs like, say, Sean Penn, George Clooney, or Alec Baldwin.
Although I don't like that his message not-so-subtly points to people on what he views as the political 'right', I think the general idea of his message is probably the most appropriate and sensible thing I've heard anyone in front of a camera say for awhile.
As much as the sides in the 'culture war' hate each other, or at least as much as they THINK they hate each other (because we've been conditioned that way), it still takes 'two to screw'.
So....the bottom line is: it's time to fuck or walk. We're gonna have to decide whether we're gonna start swinging our swords or put them down and either start talking or walk away, because we sure as hell aren't getting anywhere at this particular point in time as things currently are.

I've known several persons who've toured Auschwitz including my daughter spent a full day at Aus ttychwitz. Each were deeply, profoundly moved.
