When We Were Kings
I have memories from when I was just a small boy - and walked among men that were plaid clad giants. Do you remember being that young and small and thinking you would never be big enough to handle the colossal machines? The guns were so big you could barely lift them but never hope to aim them? Those giants were men like this happy fella here...and somewhere along the line they became the shrunken, doddering oldsters and baby boomers we see today.
Sigh - life happens.

ReplyDeletePoppy is 80. After his last medical scare, he lost a lot of weight, shrunk. But when I close my eyes, he's in his prime. He'll always be my hero.
