I was idly surfing the internet and came across this charming and nostalgic pic when some wank ruined everything with a rude joke:

Ahhhhhhh..... all due apologies to our visiting Americans. It's an inside joke that will only be appreciated by anyone that has had the misfortune to fly Aeroflot Canada.

Back when I was still getting a lot of air time on the job I preferred WestJet but I've been hearing that lately they have gone for a dump now too. I dunno about that but back in the day they were fun to fly with, the stewardesses were cute and funny, the staff were helpful - while the unionized slobs at Air Canada were exactly what you would expect from union slobs: old bitchy hags for stewardesses, inefficient, sullen and expensive. My manager at the time insisted on them and I adamantly refused. Until he got caught in a few wildcat strikes and stranded at the airport. He got really sad when I told him snarkily, "I toldjya so!". I knew better than to push my luck later when he quietly switched to WestJet.

I haven't flown anywhere recently and to be honest... I'm good with that. Unless it's for fun I can do without it.
