    The old .600 Nitro Express. The idea being that you'll never get a faster second shot than you will from a double, but with the .600 you're not likely to need it.

    Recoil on a .30-06 bolt action is rated at 12-20 foot pounds; recoil on the .600 is around 250 foot pounds. Not only do you have to know how to shoot a high powered rifle, you better be large enough to handle it.
