Why do we do stuff like this to our kids? I heard awhile back that the boy scouts had just gotten pozzed too - girls are no being invited to join. Some of the older folks just chuckle and say it isn't the end of the world, and it's not I suppose. But living as I do in Canada where I live among liberals and ruled by them - I can tell you exactly how it will go for the Scouts: the old creeds of being prepared, being honourable and truthful and being a good young man - will be replaced with a credo that stresses tolerance, feminism and Marxism. It won't be fun for either the boys or the girls and they both quit in droves. The usual social justice warriors will wonder how it happened and probably blame misogyny and sexism.
Our boys and girls deserve better than this, they really do.

Sure they do. But a boys only organization can get just as pozzed by the liberalism you describe, too. That's the real danger and it's everywhere. Schools, media, sports, and groups like the Scouts.
ReplyDeleteI suppose what I'm trying to say is that the mechanism is always the same; and it always goes like this: "We have to make 'X' fair for everyone...!!!" And then the SJW's make 'X' unfair, and unpopular for everyone but themselves.
DeleteWhen women invade the spaces of men - the men invariably leave. I think you'll see it with the scouts the same way you did with the colleges and universities. The bogus rape hoaxes will start, along with accusations of toxic masculinity and patriarchy... and the only way to fix it will be to put women in charge of what everyone in the organization can think or say. Any young man in that boat will have to leave to protect his sanity.
Scouting (as in Boy Scouting) will not be possible in an environment like that. It's like telling kids that 'tie and scarf day' is as much fun as Halloween.
Scouting lost my sons and I about the time they started letting homosexuals be scout leaders. Lessee; homosexual men leading adolescent boys on camping trips in the middle of nowhere. What could possibly go wrong?...
