Gonna Have To Try That One Here At Retard School

  1. I used to throw one of those out when some pretentiously didactic pedagogue would smile condescendingly and remind me that a penny saved is a penny earned.

    Right.

So at the end of a year, you'll have collected 365 pennies, maybe four bucks max, and with that much money you can get a beer and a shot in any bar off Telegraph Road, which was then the Detroit-Toledo expressway. This was a quote from my father, who, while he didn't consider himself wealthy, certainly made bigger bucks than any of those old hens, damn' near all of whom were punching the clock until retirement time - when they could find out for sure if they could live on beans and hot dogs the rest of their days.

I think this source of this particular list is a humorist with a taste for vodka martinis. No six year old these days ever came up with comments like these, and you can make book on that week in and week out.

Here's one for you: One in the hand is worth two in the blouse!
