I learnt a new word today. A 'cuffler' is an old gun club stubfart, commonly missing one side of his brain - that enjoys antique curios and relics, particularly of the firearm persuasion. I just found this one bandied about on one of the gun forums:
Lookit this. I wonder how it works...
Apparently it is a repeater.
Just looking at it I would say she's a black powder cartridge gun,
but any passing scholars are invited to edjikate us in the comments.
I think you're right about the black powder cartridge. Otherwise, I have no clue.
ReplyDeleteThe design couldn't have been all that good, as you don't see it today. Hell, I've never seen it in my life, and that's saying something.
I am not certain but I think the word is "cruffler"
ReplyDeleteCRUFFLER: Noun. Originally the holder of a Type 03 (C&R) FFL, but now anyone who has an interest in old, historical, or just plain weird firearms for which ammunition is usually hard to come by.
enjoy your blog & greetings from New Zealand

ReplyDeleteYep. We better bring Harold in on this - I will see if we can get his scholarly opinion on this...
