Because of my numerous psychological problems and incorrect political views I have often been mistaken for another variety of cone head - the kind that runs around in bed sheets and set fires to crosses, barns, and negroes.
Ya never hear anyone bleating about
that little bit of cultural appropriation now, do ya...?
My great-grandmother taught in a one room school house. I think she had 11 students, ages 5 to 17. She made no mention of the dunce cap.
ReplyDeleteThe first time I ever saw photos of the KKK would have been around 1959 or so. Some circular they were giving us elementary school kids had a photo of a huge KKK rally in Indiana. I asked my mother why they were all wearing dunce caps. She didn't know what to say.
Yeah I never saw the dunce cap either. My folks had wooden spoons that took care of any shenanigans I decided to involve them in. :)
