That's an amphibian so I'd assume they just need to get it out of the water and roll it into a hangar and dry it out. I am looking at that flap behind the port engine... are those bullet holes...?
PBY Catalina.. note landing gear is down and there is a cable going to the bow of the thing. Pilot in the front office. Either a launch or retrieval operation. Probably gettinng ready to pull her up the ramp. The surface with the bullet holes is not a flap. Its the roof on a building on shore on the other side of the cove. Note the flap on the other wing is not down.
Orders Skipper?
ReplyDeleteHaving landed this contraption, just how will the stranded passengers and crew get it into the air again and set it down in some tropical paradise?
