"Wealth" is a relative term with its value being decided by individual situations.
Looks like aspen. Not the greatest but I burn it Spring and Fall. It helps if you split those bigger blocks.
Now if that was 3/4" plywood ........
Looks valuable to me Glen, especially with your weather (which I do not envy you).
There is satisfaction that comes from a full wood shed, isn't there?
Happiness is a full woodshed and 10 downed trees. I tend to run 2 years out. The stuff I drop this spring won’t be seasoned until winter 2023. Hard to dry out when it’s frozen solid 8 months a year.
Yep, two years is perfect. After that though I start seeing rot...
You burn rotten wood?
Glen? He'd rip the upholstery out of your car seats if he thought it would burn.Contrary to popular belief, rotten wood actually does burn. When the alternative is cutting up more wood, forest to shed, whatever you've got starts to look more attractive by the minute.
Some of that stuff is on the old side but not punky yet. most of it is wet and green - which is just great for me. Next year it will be ready for the campfire and I will be ready to rip.
