Yesterday we looked at the classical outdoor sportsman's rig from years long past. Today we see the latest and greatest. What is that? 30' tandem axle? That thing will have everything including the kitchen sink. Behind that, another tandem axle trailer for the family's ATVs.
Y'know I used to do the ATV thing and I get it. I used mine as a backwoods tourer and to scope out good hunting spots. You can shoot the odd moose off an ATV because they are dumb as posts. I always used the quad to get me back there, and then set out on foot. I had some good times. But man - the work in setting up a rig like this? Ugh. Then unpacking it when you get home? There's a day and a half at least - gone.
I have my little A Frame camper now. Put food and water in it and go. Life is simple and free if you let it be.
Yep.... too much like hard work. I run a 75 Chevy van outfitted as a camper. It’ll get me anywhere I need to go & haul the boat or the sled/ATV trailer. Nothin’ fancy...but the Sig Other found a new, still in the shrinkwrap, under dash 8-track player for it. With a box of new tapes! Ka-chunk!
ReplyDeleteImagine trying to back up in that rig.
