My mom's one of these people. She felt threatened, so WE had to "shelter in place." In other words, she gets a flat tire, and all traffic has to stop to fix it for her. SHE thinks I should get vaccinated, that I'M "cold an inconsiderate" for not wanting to. Never mind the fact that the "vaccine" doesn't prevent one from contracting or spreading COVID, and has POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS. No. I'm suppose to get "vaccinated" so she can leave the house once a week to go to curbside pickup at Wally World, and then return to her house and plug back in to the Lesbian Longneck on MSNBC-HAW. No thanks, Mom... 'Feel threatened? Stay inside... Oh yeah; you're already doing that...
I'm 69, get injected with the death syrup if you want, but leave me out of your psychosis.
Now, a point about that generation and my mother's generation fixation on vaccines. They remember diphtheria, polio and other communicable diseases killing people they knew, siblings or the kid down the street or seriously crippling them. TPTB have told everyone it's a 'vaccine'. Which you and I know that it is not. They know vaccines to be as powerful juju as antibiotics. Neither one deserves worship; useful tools in knowledgeable hands but not a panacea.
What flabbergasts me, is the blind trust that perfectly intelligent people have in the snake oil/used car salesman BS being spouted by the talking heads.
That's a good point about the older crowd Judy. My parents are like that and got the jab without a second thought. Like Pete - I am back on Mom's Official Shit List because I am a deplorable conspiracy theorist. "The koolaid won't work unless we ALL drink it!!!!"
Looking at this from a marketing perspective - they are trying to sell the jab here with emotional blackmail. It sets up the narrative that 'if you don't take the vax, it's because you are a heartless cretin that just wants to kill Grandma...'. It's basically emotional blackmail... and it only works if the mark has the "funds" to pay the ransom. I try not to think with my emotions so... It's a tough sell for our ruling class.
