I really like "bank note" engraving. I rarely ever find an example of it on a firearm. I also like simple embellishments, instead of going whole hog with scrolls...
But that is a pretty BBQ gun, fer sure. And it's blued, I really do like that.
The Texas Ranger museum is in Waco, TX. Right on the river there. Every firearm in there, and there are a LOT of them, are dolled up. Those guys used them everyday, and made sure they were pretty. I don't mind honest wear on any of them. Makes them look real.... at least to me.
If you ever get down this way, check it out. And the museum in Canyon, Tx has some really amazing examples of real old west stuff, too.
Man, love those grips ! Engraving is nice but attention must be paid to keep it from rusting.
