Friday Meatloaf

I guess Meathead passed last night.
This was the background noise of my teen years. If I stopped
to listen to him at all, I'd have thunk he was ridiculous and he made me
wonder about my elders a bit.
Even when his career crested he never quit. The wife
would point him out in the movies ... he seemed
to like playing bad guys in dime roles.

He struck me as the wrong man in the wrong times. His talent was
undeniable... but the silliness of the times
corrupted it and somehow made him less than he could have been.

Story for all of us I suppose.

  1. They're droppin' like flies, I tellya! Well, if it's any consolation, at least these folks are dying of natural causes, as opposed to "rappers" and R&B "artists," who always seem to die of ...lead poisoning...

    1. He was pretty hard core opposed to the vaccine mandate - also quite opposed to the lockdowns and masking etc. I don't know if he was vaccinated while opposed to the mandate though.

  3. There seems to be a pattern that to get rich famous, "entertainers" have to sell out to evil. Meatloaf did have a bit of talent, so maybe he had enough morals that he wouldn't sell out all the way.
