Another few months and everyone will have some variation of that EDC. Carry at least 3 combat load-outs. You know, because abundance of caution. You might be set upon by a pack of Comanches or Commies...or whatever.
Curious - is there something about 21st century weaponry, or even 20th century for that matter, that you don't choose it? I mean, personally I would select a 7.62 HK91 rifle with a 20 round mag versus your what, 7-8 round rifle that has to be lever-functioned for each round? Really? Why would you do that? I mean your setup there is gorgeous but not practical in a modern firefight. And a 6 round pistol versus a modern 10-15 round automatic? Other than aesthetics, I really can't see it. But since this is 'Merica, it is awesome that we can do it our way. I get it that this is your way. Not dogging you out for it, just curious, that's all. You may be trying to make a whole other point that I'm not getting. Also, what is EDC? Is that what we in the Army called our LBE? Load bearing equipment.
EDC... Every Day Carry, does that answer your question? Me, personally, those weapons are time tested, rugged and accurate. Your plastic toy rifle and your 18 shot auto will not shoot dirty/muddy/dunked in water and will break faster and inconveniently when ya need it most. I served US Army, MP with (CIB) combat experience and have an inkling of what I know.
Man, if you are only carting 6 extra bullets for your revolver, you may be a piker...
need the Mexican bandito crossed cartridge belts, ya know?
