These coolants look deceptively inviting. Especially in this bloody heat! I dunno how those bloody Texans do it… I start to melt in the mid 20C range… and I will sublimate in the 30C’s - I go from a semi-solid state straight to a smelly, fetid gas … with no liquid stage in between! Don’t make fun of me, you transphasicphobes!!!

😡🥵😡

I don’t do well with alcohol in high summer temps for some reason. Mort and I will be sticking to water and lots of shade for the next little while.

  1. Awww, c'mon. Real men don't start to melt until just north of 40.

  2. I hear ya. My third cuppa joe for the day goes over ice now. It was just a coupla weeks ago we were complaining about the frost at night holding up the garden. Already we're looking forward to those crisp mornings of late September.

  3. Filthie, you have to go through that transitory phase of liquid, physics baby, And please start using the Imperial system of temperature graduation and not the commie freaking metro metrics, come on man, this is the North American Continent! We do things in inches and Fahrenheit! I will make fun of you if indeed you consider yourself "Transphasic" Is that a higher plane of genderism?

    1. Stop your whining, C - it's unmanly! When I was a kid in school they gave us a binder that had to go with us to every class. It was full of various mathematical formulas, physical constants of various fluids and chemicals, steam tables... did you know that thermodynamics is absolutely gay? The faggotry involved with superheated steam would boggle your mind! One small section of it was devoted entirely to unit conversions and I learned to convert anything and everything. To my advanced intellect, its merely a case of toe-may-toe vs toe-maugh-toe. But then again, I yam a true polymath and gifted intellect.

    2. Well, there ya go, I am humbled in your presence... Only "C" I got in nursing school was for algebra, I worked hard with tutors and extra help with the instructor, a mind fart and I was right proud of that, still don't understand it, but there you go. Now, geometry, calculus even some trigonometry I have no problem with, I can see the numbers, how they correspond to each other, A+B= shit...

  4. Not quite sure what "C"anadian measurement that is but I'm in the upper northeast corner of Texas right now working at a power plant. When we open the doors at 5:00 in the morning on Friday the temperature was 700 degrees Fahrenheit coming out.
I couldn't go in to do my inspection until 5:00 in the afternoon when the temperature was 130° f.
Been doing 12-hour shifts of course since then and will do another one tomorrow when we shut everything up again.

  5. Bud, it's hotter than blue blazes this year. I think we are forty odd miles from the heliosphere. I've been making my quick switchel: quart of water, dab of honey and a pinch of salt. Works wonders for keeping hydrated. I've been sweating just sitting in my chair even though there is a puddle of coolish air right in front of the a/c. But working outside after 1100 and before 2100 melts me like butter. Summer came early this year. And it's been a 100 plus every day since April I think. Yuk.

    1. Sorry. I never can remember if it's 5/9ths or 9/5ths and +/- 32..... So, 38 - 43 C has been the range so far this summer.
