I’m With The Old Lady On This One

Yannow everday I see pickers and nerds on TV shows talking about how much money their stuff is worth. Jack is on there claiming his collection of War Hammer figurines and game pieces is worth thousands of dollars. Quartermain has an original comic edition of The Brown Splash or Mustard Man that’s worth tens of thousands of dollars. Some old ditz is on the Antique Roadshow and has an original thunderbox pan supposedly used by Henry VIII and it’s worth MILLIONS of dollars.

But Ya never see people actually buying this crap or money actually changing hands. Y’all should come clean and just be honest about it. Tell the truth, shame the devil!

  1. I have an old buddy that likes garage and yard sales . He bought an old well used nasty baccer infested spitoon for $7 . Got it home , cleaned it up and it was solid silver . He took it to the local silver dealer and got $700 for it . Sadly he's a 1st degree pothead and he smoked that money up in a couple of days . Sigh . But we all got our poison . I'd a been going to see my ammo dealer , heh .

  2. My wife still has fricking beanie babies. Me? I collect firearms. I could probably liquidate my collection in less than a week for about 80% of the listed value. And their functional too, in case they're needed. The bullets are an appreciating asset too.

  4. I see Mickey Mantle's cards sold for $12.5 million. That was a good ROI.

  5. I sold my entire 15mm figure collection, some I had sculpted and made a mold for myself, for over 10K. It was worth a lot more though. When I got old enough that I needed glasses to work on them I just could not do it any longer nor enjoy the hobby. So it all had to go.
