My parents owned an old station wagon when we were kids. There were five of us. And we throw in blankets and cushions and cram in the back with the back seat down and pretend we were camping while bombing down the highway with my parents in front. And waving at the people in the cars behind us and getting a kick out of it when they waved back. Good times. Good memories.
I've slept up there as well during the night, when back seat was crowded with too many people. Once even got tossed onto them when driver had to brake hard. Rude awakening that was but all in good fun, just another day ...

ReplyDelete1961 we were traveling in a '59 Ford [no AC] to Houston TX and I left my big box of crayons in the back window shelf....one big puddle of goo....
