Going To War: They Pretty Much Seem To Agree...

I am a big fan of Terrance Popp on JewToob.  He's ex-special forces and like most of those guys, he has a few screws loose. But, when you consider the hits he's taken throughout the course of his career and personal life... it's a wonder he hasn't blown his brains out - or had some mudflapped jihadi or screeching social justice warrior do it for him.

The other day he was on about something put out by the fellas at Iraq Veteran 8888. Those guys are gunnies and they have a good channel of their own on guns. They will rattle about current events and issues the odd time - and the day's topic was "Why Military Enlistment Is Nosediving". I am already fairly familiar with the issue as I am a fan boy of the squaddies and I tend to keep a sharp eye on them and their affairs. I am up to speed with guys like BCE at the Intrepid Reporter, Popp at Redonkulus, and Iraq Vet among others. The men seem to be agreed that this is a double edged sword - the kids are refusing to opt in, and at the same time, the military is hemorrhaging experience and talent. Guys with extensive deployment histories and honorable service are dropping out en masse because their sacrifice and service means nothing in a military obsessed with diversity, wokeness, and political correctness. We have all seen the viral videos of the she-boons lipping off at their superiors with impunity, and the wahmen that can't even come close to passing the PT requirements. The pros are bailing out and actively encouraging younger people not to enlist.

Pop seems to think all that points to conscription. With the bombing of the Nordstream pipelines the Biden regime is now absolutely committed to war with Russia. The problem is that the Ukraine is one bad day away from complete and total defeat. Poland and Germany are about two months away from ruin if this stupidity continues. Biden and his faggotry are going to need LOTS of bodies to throw into the Russian cauldrons ... and anyone with any sense is passing on the military for a career.

A lot of the guys that stop by the Thunderbox are American patriots and often have extensive military experience... and I wonder what they would do if America instituted a draft and recalled its vets as Russia has done?

If Biden goes to war with the 'Kraine and institutes the draft - would you go to war for him?

  2. I left a comment at that polling place, I copied for here: "I did my time and I wouldn't cross the street if the biden was on fire and I had an extremely full bladder. I would save that for fonda's burial site." I found it hilarious that of 36 voters, "No" had 100%...

  3. A little off subject but here is an explanation of a reason for the Nordstrom explosion

    1. I know he means well, but I once saw Law Dog opining that yes, Jeffery Epstein DID indeed kill himself and that a string of almost statistically impossible oversights were involved. Right off the bat - the explosion occurred on the other end of the pipeline from Russia. I could fisk that screed but... you or anyone else can read the writing on the wall, or the scribbling in the mass media I suppose. I have seen absolutely no American (or Canadian) integrity in this debacle and so far, Putler is the only adult at the table. He's just annexed half of the 'Kraine, and all our idiots here can think of to do is blow up their ally's pipelines and look stupid.
I suppose Aesop is the same way: both men are products of their time, where you could still trust the media and some institutions, and simply haven't learned better from current events. I was the same way with the squaddies and even our own RCMP. I used to think the sun rose and set on those guys... but now? I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. Mind you - I am capable of rudimentary critical thought and have the means to fact check pretty much everything... and I still get burned from time to time. So I suppose it all comes down to who you believe. I haven't lost a debate to Aesop or men like him yet, and I don't think I am on the wrong side of him now. Time will tell, of course.

  4. Wait, so you're predicting that Ukraine is going to fall "any day now" again. What is this, like the eighth time since February?

And military recruitment in the US means universal conscription in a couple more years, at the current trajectory. And this time, the chicklets go in the sausage hopper too.

    There's your equality, Pvt Benjamin.

    1. As long as the U.S.keeps dumping weapons and "Advisers" into the fray the proxy war will continue until the last Ukrainian is dead.

    2. I have been predicting that this will be over as soon as Vlad decides it is over. In case you haven't noticed, in the last 24 hours, Putler just annexed half the country. If that is what you call 'winning' ... fill your boots I suppose.

Consider that along with the old ROE's... Putler is done playing "Mr. Nice Guy". America keeps arseing the Bear, and sooner or later they will get the teeth. That is what those 300,000 extra troops are for - not the 'Kraine, you can stick a fork in them... they are there for Poland and possibly Germany, and they will be even bigger push overs than the Ukes were. America is now at the 'put up or shut up' stage... and all those idiots have are shrugs. Or nukes.

All indications now are that this thing is going to get as stupid as Creepy Joe and the Donks want to make it, and that everyone will bleed, and no one will be happy with the results.

  6. Pretty sure I am past even the outside danger of being recalled. Besides I am not even an Iraq I Vet. Not even an army formed from today's snowflakes would think I have anything to offer. That being the case I would never encourage any conflict I myself am immune from from serving in.

  7. They might try conscription but the end results will not be what they are wanting. The problems with the military are mostly due to what the liberal Femocrats want to see in their recruits not who would sign up to defend the US. The One World faction politicians have been weeding the good one's out since Bush 1 and Gram Rugman (sp?) Like I try and explain we are seeing the end game now. The two sides have been drawn and each player is pretty much stuck with what they have created. Best thing for Patriotic Americans (And Canadians) that still have some military service left in em to do is prepare to help like minded neighbors survive what is coming. In the end Faith and Belief will be what wins after the silver dried up to pay the quislings.

  8. The problem with re-implementing the military draft, is that they won't do it until we are actually in a hot war, which by then will be too late.

  9. "I wonder what they would do if America instituted a draft and recalled its vets"

Firstly, these vets are of no use to a "woke" military, which is why they are kicking them out. However, this could be a convenient excuse for locking them all up for "insubordination", draft dodging, etc.

Dying on your feet for a cause is what they do. I think they will eventually (day one?) conclude that it's better to die on your feet than to rot in prison having your eyes and teeth knocked out in daily beatings, and therefore defend themselves from arrest at home a la Solzhenitsyn's exhortation.

A yankee "draft" has historically produced significant "blow back", but schools have changed the demographic today. I'd expect *something* to shift though... but then, *that* was a given anyway. What cannot continue will not continue. I don't know what's coming, but it's going to involve a level of violence unprecedented in my lifetime. Prepare accordingly.

    1. I just looked at the poll, Pete. I see two guys voted the wrong way and they probably were confused! Canada is the same way, and were I eligable for a draft... I'd tell them to go pound sand too...

  12. The last draft we had in US was during 'Nam. Look at photos from that time period, what might you notice? Yeah there are a number of hippie types, yeah sure what else?
People back in the 70's weren't all walking blimps!! Can you imagine a draft now? OK if you just need someone to wrangle a joystick, we got the dudes for that, let me tell ya. Oh, you meant like to march, soldier, gasp! kill?? Not so much.
