Last night I dreamed that I was riding motorcycles with my daughter. I was on Big Red, and she was on one of those little Ducati rocket ships. My wife said “She’s a better rider than you!” and I silently had to agree. I was so proud. “She’s got a better bike!” I grumped. In my dream we were both younger, and she was very beautiful.
I woke in the middle of the night and just chuckled. She’ll be 36, now? I wonder if she’s hit that biological wall yet? I probly don’t wanna think about that one too much. Does she drive? If so, what has she got? Probably something practical I would think.
My mind wobbles at night.
dreamed up a nice bike there though.
ReplyDeleteI have two sons. One will be 48 in a few days. The other 46. Haven't seen them since 1977. , She sent the adoption papers in 1980. I signed them when I was stationed in Iceland. But her new husband was a nice guy. The mind wanders. And BTW; an Indian with a British engine. TomOldGuy
ReplyDeleteWell... maybe it wasn't supposed to be like this, Tom. Or maybe things worked out for the best and we lack the scope sometimes to see that?
DeleteI didn't even notice the engine mode. Holy mackeral... what is that...? Engine off a BSA...?
I dream I'm flying into powerlines.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it gain more traction with a spiked rear tire?
ReplyDeleteYeah.. or chans or something...
DeleteI was teaching my daughter to ride when and the next year she changed. I wish I would have taken a picture. She still had her actual hair color. She was riding my Honda Ascot and I had my old Triumph. Suppose I should sell one of them. Can't ride two.
ReplyDeleteWell if there's a chance she might straighten out, Budd... I'd keep it if I were in your place.
