I'm going to guess Romanian or Hungarian. Looks Like a modified Makarov, But it's not. Definitely European. 7.62x29 is a hot little cartridge, it will go through a 6" oak tree. Close to 357 magnum performance. Could be a late in the war German, but it would seem we would have heard of it if that was the case.
Cartridge is 7.62x20 so it's Soviet or it's European neighbors. I don't know but it's probably not Asian. Very interesting.
