The local bee guy I purchase from has a few different flavors, one of which is Clover. It's the same color as the honey on the left except its crystal clear and beautiful.
Every time I even think about honey I almost always say 'Thank you, Lord'. It's one of his little gifts to us unworthy human beings.
A Beekeeper in my AO runs hundreds of Hives at several of the larger Farms. One place plants Buckwheat for the Bees, Cowz eat it too. Another Farm has Hundreds of Acres of Woods with Walnut Trees - that Honey is so Dark it's hard to see through the Jar. People who have large, "Hobby Farms" for their Horses contract with Beekeepers to be able to show some "Farming Income" to keep the Agricultural Tax Bracket on their 1,000+ Acre "Estates".
That's cool. And orange dirt.
ReplyDeleteSourwood honey. Aluminum content in soil colors it blue or purple.

I need to get me some of that fancy honey, I suppose. Every time I fart it smell like an outhouse. Sometimes like hot pockets and corn dogs.
